Commitment to Accessibility

Shift Web Studio is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technology such as screen readers, magnification, or keyboard-only navigation. We are actively working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.

We believe content should be accessible to everyone, regardless of ability. This site is built on WordPress with Elementor, and we structure our content to reach the broadest possible audience.

Where We Are

A full accessibility audit of this site is currently underway. As we complete it, we will list the specific issues we found and the fixes we made here, so you can see exactly what has changed rather than a general promise.

This work is ongoing. We periodically re-scan the site to catch and fix new issues as it evolves.

How We Test

We use automated accessibility scanning (axe-core) across our pages as a first pass. Automated tools catch roughly 30–40% of accessibility issues, so we also review pages manually where practical, including keyboard navigation testing.

No Accessibility Overlays

We do not use accessibility overlay widgets, toolbars, or plugins on this site. Overlays are widely criticized by disabled users and accessibility practitioners for interfering with the assistive technology people already rely on, and for masking underlying problems instead of fixing them. We address accessibility in the code and content of the site itself.

Known Limitations

Some parts of this site rely on third-party embeds and widgets whose markup is generated by the provider and is outside our control. These may include embedded video players, scheduling tools, maps, and similar components. We cannot edit that markup directly.

If you run into a problem with an embedded third-party component, we would encourage reporting it to that provider as well as letting us know through the feedback channel below, so we can look for an alternative or a workaround.
